Expert Witness Experience

Since 1991, Mr. Wood has been retained as an expert by more than three dozen attorneys throughout Louisiana. His assistance to legal counsel has been on behalf of both plaintiffis (80%) and defendants (20%- mostly State Farm & Farm Bureau). Primarily, his case history as an expert involves litigation related to fall accidents and construction disputes. He has been involved in over 220 cases, past and current. Code review and expert witness work comprises at most 15% of his construction and design practice. As expected in most litigation, the vast majority of cases where he rendered his opinion were settled out of court. Mr. Wood has served on the side of successful litigants on over 85% of the cases his expertise was requested.
